Whoa, you can't live off of $30 to $50 a year? I am curious where you live. I would love to make that kind of dough.

Australia, the median income here is $68k I believe. My yearly rent is just shy of $20k if that puts it into perspective.

How do you know that? I see they sell in game currency but who knows if it's profiting?

I can see that you're having difficulty making a decision, so I took the liberty of making this handy flow chart which should help you determine whether or not you want to do it.

No I've already made my decision, whether the discussion continues or not doesn't mean I haven't made a decision.

You shut up.

I love how just starting a thread to ask for people's opinions on something gets me a critical/trolling response. Hooray for asking questions....

FYI it's the lounge; expect funny responses. You could have easily put this in the game dev forum, but alas, no, it's here. Lighten up and smile!

Yeah well I was asking a genuine question. I wasn't sure where to put it since Game development is about programming & design etc.

No, what gets you a "critical/trolling" response is posting in the lounge asking if you should do something and then coming out with "but zomg munniez" every time.

You're 20. Your profile tells me you're still in the early stages of programming, all it says is "Learning: PHP, MySQL". The chances of the project turning a profit are highly unlikely.

Make it. Learn from it. Make something better. Repeat until bored.

I believe there is still a market for this area as more mobile based games are usually a clone of the browser based games.
with the implementation of HTML5 and all its wizzyness( not a word I know) there is still a small possibility of new way to utilise them.
