Shootings at Virginia Tech
Posted 16 April 2007 - 05:07 PM
So, I didn't see a topic made about this...
I'm sure a lot of you have the news on right now, watching the press release. It looks like at least 33 people killed, and around 26 wounded by today's shootings. My most Sincere Condolences go out to everyone effected by what happened..
Also, it's pretty scary that it was announced that there is believed to be more then one shooter and only 1 took his life.

Fucked up man...seems like this may not be the shooter. Apparently there was an earlier post expressing sympathy that has been removed, post noted his site hits went up as well, and included a note that he wished he had Adsense or something 'cause of the rise in hits...might just be a guy enjoying some undeserved infamy. Time will tell, I suppose...Wayne Chiang is the name on the weapons and correspondence.

It is terrible, you will never know how deranged a human mind can get. I only saw part of the news when I came home today, but it was quite a tragedy.

What's up with this Jack Thompson.
Do something (legal) about him.
A fuck up like that with talk like that would never be able to survive in Europe.
At least he's a big joke here, the laughing stock of all. Unfortunately over there he seems to be taken seriously.
Even my parents, whom are conservative and classic, agree with me that Thompson is just fucked up twat and nothing more. That's a lot coming from my parents.

So what's the deal with Wayne Chiang? I didn't see anything that stated he had anything to do with the shooting. .. The guy just seems to like guns ... Big deal; so do I . .. Is there anything that suggests he was involved (aside from fitting the profile)?

Not at all...in fact the general tone seems to be that he's just a guy enjoying being mistaken for the shooter because he fits the profile, Asian male from the school with a ton of guns who just broke up with his girlfriend. time will tell...

That's one of the most general statements I've ever read. Is it your position that no one spouting off the wall opinions would be ale to find a following in Europe? Try to think before answering.

They always do. If we were influenced by the games we played as kids like pacman, we would have spent our youth wandering around in dark rooms listening to repetitive music munching pills...um...er..
But seriously it is sick. Why is it always schools they choose? You're supposed to feel safe and comfortable in school so you can get on with learning. They are not just f'ing up peoples lives physically but if nutters keep targetting schools they are going to mess up the education system. People will be in fear rather than relaxed.
