Next Gen XBox Built Around AMD CPU?

According to Boston based investment bank Fechtor Detwiler the XBox 2 is being designed around AMD's CPU. The choice was said to have been made due to the close relationship of Microsoft and Nvidia. The Intel chips tend to incorporate graphics capability with processor function leaving Microsoft with the fear that they would lose video enhancing features offered by Nvidia.

This could very well be a big win for AMD.

Though the reasoning for the choice is suspect do to the close relationship of AMD and Nvidia, and the aspirations of both Nvidia and Microsoft to dominate home digital entertainment.

The contract is more than likely still up for grabs. The AMD choice is very likely a test for Intel.

bah, am i the only person who gets tired of hearing about the next generation at times? i mean come on, focus on hear and now. :
