Best C++ beginner book?

Posted 14 May 2012 - 08:27 PM

I've been reading C++ without fear (2nd edition) to learn C++. Many people seem to dislike this book and say bad things about it. I personally have found a number of errors in his code examples. He also teaches C methods instead of C++ "ways of doing" something. I'm pretty far into this book and although he makes some mistakes it overall is a pretty decent book. Has anyone read this book? Is it good or bad? What books would you reccomend instead? I've heard Accelerated C++ is good.
