Anybody going to try the new Elder Scrolls MMORPG when it comes out? It is supposed to be based in skyrim

I'm pretty sure it's not set in Skyrim. I saw a interview from E3 and they mentioned Cyrodil as the main area of the game.

It may be interesting, but I haven't played an MMORPG in years. I used to play Cabal, Mabinogi (for a short time), Shaiya (even shorter time), and Tales of Pirates. Surprisingly I never got into WoW, I tried the free trial and had no desire to continue after that point.

Playing .hack. All the MMORPG without the O part. It is a game where your character is playing an MMORPG. Inception!

I have read this 5 times and my brain can still barley comprehend it.

.hack is a series of games where you play as a MMORPG player who is investigating problems coming from an MMORPG world (hence the "game where your character plays a game"). It's similar to the early Final Fantasy games. I think it even ran as a TV series for a bit.

Oh man, I started playing Ragnarok Online the summer before entering high school. I ultimately stopped when the private server I spent all of my time on decided to shut down (I'd say halfway through my sophomore year). I tried to play maplestory for a second because some people asked me to, I didn't really get into it because I had such a hard time jumping on those platforms and would constantly fall off.

Used to play WoW, but... well, it's too expensive compared to the time I can play, and also it started getting sort of boring...

Currently, I'm looking into Guild Wars 2, which seems pretty awesome - it looks like they've either fixed or eliminated most of the problems from WoW, including the endless grinding. The combat system is also pretty neat.

I'm going to mention TERA again. It's great. I seriously burned myself out with WoW, to the point where I simply couldn't enjoy any MMO. I was a huge Star Wars nerd, and I couldn't get past about level 20 in TOR, because I was so burnt out from WoW.

I've been looking forward to getting home from work each day to level some more in TERA. The combat system makes up for basically every other flaw it has. I believe they just included a 7 day free trial now. Give it a shot. Seriously, it's different.

I have herd nothing but good things about TERA, although I'm still resistant to getting it myself. The combat system is what interests me the most. Making it so that you actually have to have skill to do anything instead of the old click on the mob, and hit buttons 2-8 12 times. The fact that if you don't lead a mob who's moving you will most likely miss, making it so that Warriors can dodge an attack and still continue combos, and a few other things make the game seem like it will be probably one of the best MMO Games out there. I will check out the 7 day trial thing, Thanks for that heads up

Guild Wars 2 has been amazing so far. Granted, it's only been a couple of beta weekend events so far and there is still no announced release date, I've already pre-purchased my $80 deluxe edition, as well as my wife's copy.

A little of my MMORPG background:
Asheron's Call
Final Fantasy 11 - for a few weeks
Dark Age of Camelot
Everquest 2 - for a few weeks
Eve Online - On an off for years now
World of Warcraft - for a few months
Guild Wars
Dungeons and Dragons Online - for a few months
Lord of the Rings Online - for a week or so
Age of Conan
Aion
Rift
Final Fantasy 14 - for a few days
Guild Wars 2 - Beta

There are probably more sprinkled in there that I have forgotten, but that mostly sums it up. I haven't tried out TERA yet, but probably will if it takes too long for Guild Wars 2 to be released.

Give it a week. You'll be out turning tricks again in no-time.

She can turn tricks while Romney changes positions every five seconds. A perfect match!

Too many MMOs, although recently I feel like I've came full circle. I started off with SWG, then went to City of Heroes for a while, then DDO, then WoW, then STO, then TOR, and now I'm back with SWG, or at least the SWGEmu.

Guild Wars 2 looks interesting. Secret World looks good (although it plays a little clunky).

As for the Elder Scrolls MMO, it isn't actually being made by Bethesda. It is being produced by their parent company. I forget exactly what I read about it, but if I remember correctly, they are aiming for an Elder Scrolls version of WoW. Not good :(

Unpossible, Time Lord. If you started Wow as a college freshman, and played it for 4 years. And then took a 3 year break before picking up eve, you are currently in the year 2015.

Ah, but that's where you mistakenly assume he isn't the Time Lord.
