Seems HP has changed it's mind, at least for the time being, about offering upgrades for user's who purchased HP's DVD Writer the DVD100i to support cheaper DVD+R media. Instead they have released two new drives that handle the DVD+R format, leaving some DVD100i users a bit miffed.

Seems to be more and more common... just wait till Compaq and HP merge (if it goes through) talk about screwed up! Problems are gonna become exponential. Compaq and HP have gotta be the 2 worst computer companies out there.

In an attempt better it's look among users, HP is now going to offer the upgrade.... for . Phillps, faced the very same issue and rumor has it they will offer the upgrade.... for free. Who look's better here?

Seems Clark County Nevada is taking issue with HP over this in the form of a class action lawsuit.

we have a Ū,500 HP Laserjet we make plates with here at the print shop. It's no more than 2 years old (almost exactly) and the fuser is going bad and the toner gets ghosts around the edges. :( I hate HP.

Sure they do, but they cost too much for only lasting 2 years. It's a 1200 x1200 dpi 11x17 and it's practically useless now.
