Alrighty, here's my dilemma. I just installed a cd-rom drive into my computer. I already have an HP CD-RW drive (yeah, stop laughing about the HP part), and I just wanted a 2nd drive to make copying cd's easier. Everything seemed to be working fine, both of the drives are working n' all, but the computer refuses to detect either one of em now. The 2nd drive is kinda old...I took it outta my old computer cuz I never use it anymore. Could that be the problem? I'm not in TOO much of a hurry or anything, but it would be nice. Thanks for your help guys (and gals)!

Check to see that you have free IRQ's. If you have a lot of pci agp and ide devices in your computer you may max out the computer, if the cd rom is using an already used IRQ you will get errors. Check in your CMOS.
