*sigh* I know it is hard to differentiate a catering business over a event planning company... especially when they both start with 'C', but I would hope for better.

Quote

Husband and wife team, Jeff and Jennifer Snow, run 'Catering Creations.' But a bitter battle between angry customers and 'Creative Creations' over travel vouchers is creating some confusion.

"I worry about the name association," Jennifer Snow said. "We do say we're 'Catering Creations,' not 'Creative Creations.'"

Customers who purchased travel vouchers from an Omaha event-planning company that are no longer being honored will likely not be reimbursed, according to the company's attorney.

"I've gone through enough of the documents to let the public know that unfortunately there's not going to be enough money to either reimburse people or to buy tickets," said Steve Lefler, who represents Creative Creations. "I realize we are crushing some people's hopes and dreams."

The company is accused of failing to make good on thousands of dollars worth of travel vouchers.

Omaha fire investigators says a man attempting to kill an infestation of bed bugs using gasoline caused a fire Sunday night. The vapors, likely ignited by the pilot light of the water heater, ultimately led to an explosion.

Everyone is okay, one has smoke inhalation problems, but no word on the bed bugs.

Monkey Drop Kicks A Guy Who Gave It The Finger

Quote

Footage from a security camera is said to show a young man in Shimla, India, giving the finger to one of the area's famously belligerent monkeys. And as you might expect, the monkey is having none of it.

It drop kicks the man right in the head, knocking him to the ground.

Would have been better if it was covered in BBQ sauce.

We've got this going on in a few hours:

So that's cool. Should be an interesting time here in a city with no permit required to carry a concealed weapon.

Terroristic threats are not cool, but this had some humor in it.

Quote

[...]
A 45-year-old Omaha man recently told others he wanted to join the group to take on an enemy.

The enemy? The Nebraska Humane Society.

The reason? They took his cat.

The reason they took his cat? Because he was tossing it in the air and letting it drop to the ground in March.
[...]
Then Sunday, he called society workers by several names and threatened to “join the terrorist group, ISIS, to bring down the NHS and its employees,” Mark Langan, vice president of field operations, wrote in court documents.

Our word famous local zoo had another fun one - tigers spraying patrons. Knowing how muggy it has been I can only imagine the joyous bouquet of smells rolling off them as they continued through the zoo. On the plus side - hopefully the free range peacocks left them alone.

Quote

A family visiting the zoo got a surprise from a tiger as they looked on - The tiger suddenly sprayed them.

In a tweet Thursday, the Zoo retweeted another user saying, “Woah, sorry about that Skip! Glad to hear you guys are looking on the bright side.”

The worst part is some how *I'M* the bad guy when I spray people walking outside my window. *sigh*
