Ok, the real reason that I started those posts was not out of shear stupidity or being under the influence.  I started them for a reason. I don't like to see those posts.  I think it's lame that you guys can't find some other way to talk about that stuff. There are millions of chat rooms on the internet dedicated to that crap, ####, you can even do it in the dic one.  
I don't care who does it, it doesn't need to be done on here and I was making a point. ####, I even tried to show you my point by telling you about bluelight.nu, a drug forum, if I really want that questions answered I'd go there.  
You guys are straying from the point, should sex/drugs talk be tolerated on this board?  I have been on this site since may (pretty long for this board) and we havn't had to talk about it in the past, why now?  

Also, I would like to point out that it's a select group of 5 or so people starting these posts. That means that there are 757 (at last count) people that don't want to read that stuff here.  
Now, I full agree that it's chris's decision, I just hope that he thinks of the consequences when he rewrites the ToS and I also hope that he takes people other than himself in to considderation.

Also, I 'd like to see a firm set of rules that EVERYONE has to follow. That's only fair.

Neither of my threads "offend[ed] any one directly" so what was inapproiate about them?  I demand that either the threads be re-opened and all future threads of the same measure be protected from being closed OR I see a change in the terms of service stating the specifics of what is and is not approiate.

I'm not contradicting myself. The point was, that the rules had changed, so I was making sure that that was the right thing to do by pointing out the bad part about "anything goes" in CL.  I'm playing the Devils addvocate, I don't want to post about cleaning weed pipes and have tons of cussing and sex references in CL.  I think that's lame and if I was going to talk about it, I'd go somewhere else.  That's what I liked about dic, it used to be pretty much on topic 75% of the time. Even in the CL.  

Also, I'm not gettiing worked up or anything, this is merely a discussion.   It's really not that big of a deal, I'm not like mad or anything, I'm just making a point.

Freedom of speech, schmreedom of speech. Or something.
Freedom of speech isn't a catch-all phrase you can just throw around whenever someone censors you. This is a private site (private meaning not owned by the government), and the owner is allowed to censor as much as he wants. :p
(disclaimer: I didn't read Neoracle's post, and so this post isn't arguing one way or the other...just something to keep in mind.)

i agree with neo 100%, 5 people, thats all it took to start all this crap, honestly. we had gone for about 9 months since the site started, never needed that crap once. never even thought about it. and for the last month or so, all it took was 5 people to change a lot of that...

and like neo said, there are so many sites and places to do that crap. just last night, i tell chris the cl is goin to turn into the formen message boards at ign. give  chris a link, and he pulls threads out exactly like what were gonna see, if i wanted to talk about that stuff, i'd go to that messageboard. not the cl.

Well Sloth there will be one less member for you to dispise.  I said last night that I was done posting at DIC, and well unfortunate for myself, I am drawn to the site for many reasons.  I still am extreamly hurt and disappointed that if there was something I said that offended someone, that again they would be mature enough to come directly to myself and tell me.  But I suppose that goes along the lines of being mature and half of the members here haven't reached that stage in their life yet.  They would rather rant and rave instead of dealing directly with the person that offended them.  
So this will be my final post here at DIC and for those people who wish to stay in contact with me, they have my email address.
