XML Error Whilst Making Android App

Posted 23 October 2012 - 11:22 PM

Hi, i'm making an android app and in the AndroidManifest.xml file, I've been recieving an error.

aapt: Error parsing XML: Not well-formed (invalid token)

It hilights the first line if code
 ?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

I've tried putting the code in a different XML file and it works fine but I need it in AndroidManifest.xml.

Thanks in advance

At the top click Project -> Clean. Make sure your project is checked and hit OK. This should clear your project and reparse you xml files. If this does not fix it post back and we will see if we can find another fix.

I don't have access to a computer so I'm not using eclipse. I'm using an app called AIDE on my phone. Is there an equivelent in this app?
