Hey there. I have this class 10 Ridata 32gb microSD but there seems to be a problem with it. Every time I transfer files to it, it fails to write somewhere down the line, about halfway of the way, saying "Parameter is incorrect" or something then my microSD suddenly goes 0 bytes if I right click properties on it in My Computer.
What's even more bothering is it seems the more capacity my microSD has, the faster it gets to showing that "parameter is incorrect" message or sometimes "windows write delay failed" or something. Meaning, if I try to put in more stuff, the more capacity my microSD has initially, the faster it goes haywire. I think of it this way:
TimeToGoHaywire = (TotalCapacity - PresentCapacity)/2
Anyone have an idea what's wrong with this?

Your shit's corrupt. It's nothing more or nothing less. Run chkdsk on it (if you are on windows)... or some sort of drive utility.. try reformatting..
Barring that you can pretty much find a ton of solutions when you google 'micro usb and "parameter is incorrect"'.

It's hard to get the full effect. Typically I have a do a little tap dance and a piano plays me off.

... but let's be honest - it's a micro sd card that's having problems writing to it. It's not like there was a thesis stuck on it that s/he can't remove.. it's just a general issue *USING* the drive. A fine line between the level of "get this to work"-ness and a dead dad.
I like to get to the cor[e], and upt the level of service accordingly.

Thanks!
But if I run it, it wouldn't automatically reformat my drive would it? It's my phone's, and I'd hate to lose my stuff.
Here's what I plan to run:
Got that from Yahoo Answers. The "automatically fixes" part is where I'm kinda hesitating, will there be some formatting that will be done? Or will my files be safe?
Update:
Read this on Wikipedia:
Yep. Lost is in bold in Wikipedia.

chkdsk [drive letter]: /f /r
NOTE: The /f command automatically fixes any errors encountered, the /r command locates bad sectors and recovers readable information.

/r Locates bad sectors and recovers readable information (implies /f and /p). Unreadable data is lost. If CHKDSK cannot lock the volume, it offers to check it the next time the computer starts

Ran chkdisk, and it says
Whoo boy. No errors. By the way, my microSD is actually 16gb(I wish it was 32 ha.)
Guess I'll try reformatting it then. Thank you very much!

On what? His dead Father?
I'm not sure if this will work for you but you can try to recover anything that was deleted using Memory Card recovery software. Being that your's is just corrupted, maybe it will help you read what you can't.

Hey guys! I haven't added this bit of info yet. It seems that the problem lies with the PC I'm moving files in. It's always on safe mode. The reason I'm adding this now is because I tried to move files to my friend's microSD and the same thing happens. Or could it be the USB cable?
Yep, most definitely if my memory card gets corrupted, I'll definitely recover it. Thanks for the links!
