Network configuration in Slackware

Posted 05 November 2012 - 07:06 PM

I am trying to get connected to a wired (for now, wireless later) internet connection in Slackware. I ran netconfig, but didn't really have any luck. I also don't have a ton of experience setting things like this up, as I am used to being babied with other distros. What should I do to set this up? I live in an apartment and the internet is provided by the complex. The office is very picky and suspicious when I ask for information about the connection, which is very annoying. The service is cable internet. I will explain the situation if needed though and get information. I think they honestly don't know and have to call the ISP, and they are lazy so they try not to. But on a sidenote, I am using fluxbox. I am using a motorola surfboard and a netgear 150n router. I can provide more info to you on those

Thanks
