A 65-year-old St. Louis man is missing after Amtrak personnel, mistaking his diabetic shock for drunk and disorderly behavior, kicked him off a train in the middle of a national forest, according to police in Williams, Ariz.

So this guy is in the middle of nowhere, in a state forest, obviously having diabetic related problems...

How can you even think about dumping a 65 year old in a forest in the middle of nowhere, and that even if he was genuinely drunk? I expect major lawsuits to come out of this.

I can't believe they just dropped him off. That's fucked up. I know that they can be a bit obnoxious when going into shock cause I've seen it first hand, but still. and Even if he was drunk, dropping him off in the middle of nowhere still isn't right. Perhaps they need a security officer on the train who can handle situations like that.

Amtrak is lucky he's not dead. Having diabetes I know how unruly I can get when a low blood sugar goes untreated. If he was unruly enough to be deemed as drunk his blood sugar had to of been pretty low. This also coincides with him being incoherent when his family called.

lets see the guy is going into hypoglycemic Shock. That is 1 step above death if they would have given him a candy bar he would have been fine. I see amtrack being sued out of existance unless it is in the state of missouri then his family can only sue the employee directly as it is a federal agency and in the state of missouri you cannot sue the government. comes from all the crack heads and the police in st louis. aww police man busted my head im gonna sue. no we didnt you were head butting a mailbox.
