Specifying a genre might have helped a bit, but a couple of more (and it might be also of importance, whether they should be still active):
UK:
Placebo
Therapy?
Fat Boy Slim
Pet Shop Boys
The Cure
Oasis
Blur
Suede
Norway:
Hurra Torpedo (check youtube)
Finland:
Elaklaiset (old hits played in a polka style) (check youtube)
Damn Seagulls (check myspace music)

Gotta love that Optimus Rhyme! He is great at mixing all those trucker beats.
If you are looking for more mainstream "lets try to please everyone" radio music she can always go with these canadian bands/singers
- Bare naked ladies
- Great Big Sea
- Nickelback (I like taking risks just mentioning them)
- Sarah Mclachlan
None are really my favorite, but thought I would throw out some popular choices for a radio station.
