Still active may be better but as for Genre, I was told that it didn't matter. It can be anything.

If you are looking for more mainstream "lets try to please everyone" radio music she can always go with these canadian bands/singers
- Bare naked ladies
- Great Big Sea
- Nickelback (I like taking risks just mentioning them)
- Sarah Mclachlan
None are really my favorite, but thought I would throw out some popular choices for a radio station.
