Reason I'm posting is, I just wanted to say... no shit this is the worst... I've gotten 15 a day of this virus for the past 3 weeks... ANNOYING!!! Norton has blocked them all but I guess that's the crap I gotta put up with having my email addy on 45,000 pages eh?!

Yeah I hear ya! I just got a couple from [email protected] haha Norton blocked them all though. Luckily last year when i got my first virus, I got virus software on here, or I would be screwed.

I doubt they were from him... contact him of course but I get some from people on my list all the time and they virus scan and it comes back clean... it's cause Klez has a spoofer built into it.

Yeah... I have been hit by Klez and it's spin offs about 100 times over the past few days. I haven't been invected by it yet, but only time will tell.

yea, i get it all the time too. 3-4 a day. it comes from tons of fake emails. ive gotten ones that say their from neo, jared, and chris even. stupid bs.

BTW, even if they say they are from me their not cause I don't use a Microsoft Email proggy nor do I have an address book in my mail program.

Guardianhosting.com doesn't have any email, guardianhosting.net does... Confused-
Anywho, I have gotten 3 or 4 a day, and Norton takes care of all of them. /me prays to the symantec gods....
On a Mac at work, so no worries there-although I have heard that it can read the address book in entourage-Any idea Neo?

Well I run 2K Pro and OE6, and I've received quite a few email virii... However OE6 always asks me what I want to do with the attachments: open them or save them. Works for me, I press cancel, archive the email for posterity (or if someone REALLY pisses me off lol) and that's that.
I did have Sophos (www.sophos.co.uk) Intercheck Monitor installed for about a month to test it at one point, but it was just sucking up valuable system resources. So now I use me as a virus scanner, I think I do ok. Not had one virus infection in about 4 years. :)
I think all virus scanners inherently suck. As so most firewalls. :D

Going on 11 plus years with never being infected by a single virus. I haven't received any via email since one late last year from some uberfucker I work with. Few people have my regular account addresses and I use web based for internet type things. All critical work is on hard drives that never see the web and are on secure networks if any at all. Common sense, dumbasses can make it really hard for those who know what is up. If you open an attachment in a mail from [email protected] you deserve the #### thing, any attachment from anyone shouldn't be trusted and handled in that manner.
Plus a shitty app like MS Outlook or whatever, what do you expect?
