Here's the problem:
I reloaded my system the other day, I keep having a problem with my desktop background.  Everytime I try to change it...apply it...it won't stay, keeps reverting back to the default blue XP screen.  I haven't loaded any other programs except for my ISP.  I want to change the background to something anything other than the blue screen...so hmm anyone have this problem?  Or know what to do about it?

i upgraded to xp on friday, and havent had any problems like that, i got my own background, and all that shiznit happening, and customized some settings with tweak xp, havent had any problems yet...

well...hmmm no
but that would just piss me off if it were the ISP, but now that I think about it, when i was in NM, i didn't have highspeed.  So yea, I bet it is.  I thought about the ISP causing it, but I am in denial.  I would rather have high-speed and stick with my blue screen XP.  ####...

id stick with a blue screen if i had high speed, just find a nice winamp skin to go with it, and id be set :)

Ok, I need more details Ms. Leslie, Are you running XP Home or XP Pro? Are you logging in as a Guest or did you setup your own account?

Where is the picture stored on the computer which you are trying to use as your background?

This will give me a good starting point as to what the problem might be.

Oh one more thing, what format is the picture in? .jpg, .bmp?

does it allow you to change themes?  ie. silver blue green classic?  do those changes stay?  and what makes it revert to the blue?  a logoff?  or a restart?  both?
