Get "exicutible jar file" for eclipse

Posted 05 February 2013 - 08:20 PM

Ok so i have been programming for a couple of years now for school, and i have never had to publish anything. I've written a program that is like a personal assistant that i have customized just the way i want it to be, and now i want to publish it. Unfortunately when use export in eclipse I do not have an "exicuateable jar file" export option so my program can't be run. I've looked all over the place, and no one says anything about how to be able to get that option. Right now under the "java" tag i only have "JAR file" and "javadoc."

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Make sure you have the latest eclipse and Java installed. Other than that, no one can really tell you why it is not there. You can create them at the command line as well, if you want to.

I did that and still no dice. How would one go about doing it in command line?
