hey, if it ain't broke... TWEAK IT!  

i just downloaded and installed both these applications: TweakXp and Customize Xp and have tweaked Xp.  like anything else, these apps just provide an easy interface to put all the "options" available in the OS in one easy-to-use interface.  after you cut through the crap, i've found just a couple things that i can't readily find in Xp.  like... forcing Xp to use the new instruction sets provided ith a P4 or the Athlon T-bird chips.  also... and interesting feature for all you people with 512MB+ RAM... the ability to force XP/2k to keep the Kernel in RAM rather than push it off to the page file.  not sure if that's such a good idea, but i figured what the ####.  
Chris will be interested to know that both apps come with a memory scrubber with various levels of scrubbing... if you're into that sort of thing.
