I haven't seen it posted here so I'll put it out there for you. Micheal Robertson, founder and former CEO of MP3.com has started a new company aimed at creating an OS with the ability to run both Windows and Linux software.

Blunted, if you want to try and run Windows apps under linux try Wine.

This is not an Emulator, it's a seperate implementation of the Windows 3.x and Win32 APIs. It takes time but works great.

Yeah it looks gay but the general public likes it to look gay... as proven by Windows 95, NT, 98, 2k, xp...

Well, actually, Microsoft is only offically sueing them because they claim lindows sounds too much like windows and it might confuse people, they claim it is a copyright infringment thingie, nothing to do with the way it works.
It does look *similar* to windows, but thats why lindows is about, there is many differences there enough to feel a significant difference, it looks like morst GUI operating systems.
Micheal Robertson should stop boasting about it though, before they even have a beta test released.
Although you can get the same things like SlashRaid said by running linux with WINE. It is really just a way to try and make linux more friendly, usable and more windows like for the newbies who are not experts with linux and suchlike.
It sounds good for getting more people to use linux.
Interesting stuff as usual.

Hehehe, I'm glad I don't have to worry about all that Crap. Between OS X and Connetix Virtual PC 5 (I think it is) I can run all the programs I want. Gotta love it.
