[ANSWERED] How to position a java menu bar in the right place...

Posted 10 August 2007 - 02:38 PM

I've made a menu to go on the top of every designated page on my site, and all I really want it to do is to be in the first grey cell (first screenshot) Its the right size and all it just doesn't go where I want it to go (second screenshot).

So, how do I do it?

			 <p class="maintext">By Sanoobar Patel & Francesca Preece</p>
			 <p class="maintext"><i>Jack Allsopp, a singer/songwriter better known
			   as Just Jack has a string of fans, including Kylie Minogue and Sir
			   Elton John. After some wrangling with phones which just wouldn't
			   connect, Sanoobar Patel and Francesca Preece along with David Gordon
			   finally finished quizzing Just Jack about his life and work</i>
			 </p>
		   <p class="maintext">Camden born, Just Jack writes songs in his bedroom, doesn't splurge his cash and would be just as happy to go back to his post uni jobs - washing plates and working at Gap. This is despite achieving fame with his single 'Starz in their eyez', which reached number two in the charts. </p>
		   <p class="maintext">'Starz in their eyez' was inspired by music-based reality TV shows such as X-Factor and Pop Idol, which Jack reckons give people false hope.
 "If people want to make it in music, I'd stay well away from those programmes," he says. "The idea that they're going to help you build a long career in music is a bit of a joke. Look at the number of people who have been through them and those who have a career with some sort of integrity at the end of it, it is very small.
 </p>
		   <p class="maintext">"I think there are a lot of people who go on these programmes who have got a lot of talent and if they were scouted they would have a better chance of a long running career."</p>
		   <p class="maintext">Jack has his own tips for getting ahead in the music business. "Don't make something that is half-hearted, then take it to record labels and get gutted when they turn you down. You have to put every ounce of energy into it first. Get some tracks on MySpace, start trying to get a network of people around you who like your stuff and who support it," he says. </p>
		   <p class="maintext">The 31-year-old didn't always have dreams of entering the music world instead he took a degree in Furniture Design at Kingston University. His involvement in music happened by 'accident' after he did a Camden council-funded course in DJing. </p>
		   <p class="maintext">"I did the course with someone I met at the pub who was running the course. It was a subsidised course and because I was studying at the time, I was eligible to do it for ten weeks. At the end of it, I realised that I could take it a bit further. [That was when] I got some equipment and I started making beats in my bedroom," he says.</p>
		   <p class="maintext">Jack's big break came after he blagged a job interview with Cathal Smyth of Madness in 2002</p>
		   <p class="maintext">"I heard he was starting a record label and looking for a PA. I thought that if I played him my demo and he liked it, he'd sign me to his label. He did, two weeks later." </p>
		   <p class="maintext">Jack's first album Outer Marker was produced by RG records which went bust, leaving him with no record deal. It was only after Sir Elton John heard his first album that Jack got the chance to get back into music, landing him a record deal with Mercury records. </p>
		   <p class="maintext">"When my first record label went under, I heard Sir Elton was quite into my music. I got in touch with his management company, Mercury Records and it went from there," he says.</p>
		   <p class="maintext">The future for Just Jack is bright. He has signed a contract for some pre-Christmas gigs and his first album has already been released in America. </p></td>

I am going to assume you created this through the AllWebMenus program. What you will need to do is in the program change the "Positioning" property under the "Main Menu Group" item and then recompile. You are going to want to change it from a default of top-left to something like top center or just center.

Thank you! I cant believe I didn't think of that, I looked through all the settings but must've missed it.
