**** i went home sick a few weeks ago (migraine) after 6 hours of work and they gave me an unexcused absense so bonus went bye bye for perfect attendance...

coworker called off sick this past thursday and he was given an excused absense meaning he still has his bonus for perfect attendance.....

I've only ever fallen asleep at work once, but I did it with style. It was when I was working in a call centre, and we were having a quiet day, so I was reading a book.

By the time I was woken up by my manager, I had my shoes off, feet up on the desk, book lying open on my chest, and had missed an incoming call from a customer.

My official response during the disciplinary hearing was 'Oops'.

Oh, and the day after this happened, work gave me a large tv and a combo video/dvd player worth over £600 between them.

Where I used to work a guy called in sick 4 hours after his shift was suppose to start. Then the next day he got promoted to manager for a different store.
