works in FF, but not IE :/

Posted 21 August 2007 - 03:09 AM

Hi there.. My first post here, hope there is someone who can help me :)

I'm developing a web page where i use buttons that change both the mainframe and topframe of my page at one click. (as you can see on the following code)

<a href="leftFrame_biljard.html" onclick="window.self.location='topFrame_biljard.html'"
target="leftFrame">
<form id="form5" name="form5" method="post" action="topFrame_biljard.html">
<input type="image" name="imageField8" src="img/button_Biljard_blue.jpg">
</form></a>

I have five of these buttons, each with a different mainframe and topframe target.

It works like a dream in firefox, but not in IE :( it shows the message: "to help protect your security, IE has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer"

even if I enable the "allow blocked content" option it still doesn't work. Nothing happens when i click the buttons.

Anyone seen this before? help pls :)

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

ActiveX warnings are a security policy on the local pc. There is nothing that you can do to force ActiveX to work on the end users pc. It also doesn't look like Activex is even being used in your code snipit. What if you put this code into a new html file & tried it in IE?
