Database error

Posted 20 May 2013 - 05:27 AM

Hi,
I installed SQL Server 2008 R2 this morning in my PC then when i was done i went and open my DB in the server explorer (Visual Studio 2010) there was a red cross next to it, i try to refresh then i got this error:
Attached Image
i unistalled the SQL Server R2 and put back SQL Server 2008 thinking that SQL Server R2 was the cause of my problem but that didnt fix anything at all, am still seeing the same message and now i can't view either my tables or my DB Diagram in the Server explorer.
Does anyone have ever face this issue can help me to overcome my problem?
Tx inadvance!!!

Many people have. Unfortunately, it is going to take some researching on your part to see specifically what is causing it. Here's a list of search results to start with.

without doing research some pointers are:

check you gave yourself permissions
check your connection strings
check your table and database names
etc

So what does the event log show? There should be a message there.

Time to google EventID:17113

This is really not a VB.Net topic. I'm going to see if someone will move it to the database forum where you might get more insight.

Without know all the specifics here, it would just be getting these messages and doing a google search to see what others have done to resolve them. All we have to work with is an error message and an eventid but just a quick scan told me I didn't have enough knowledge of your setup to point you to anything specific.
