Netscape 6.2

Posted 12 April 2002 - 01:15 PM

For some reason my Back and Forward buttons have grayed out and become disfunctional...No matter what I try they won't work.  What is this simple pie thing I'm missing?

thanks;)

Well, there is a fix for that, AND it's really easy to get and apply!

1) find add/remove programs in your control panel
2) click 'remove' while "Netscape Navigator" is selected
3) download IE6 HERE
4) install IE6

Problem solved!!

Go to a site, click on a link , click on another one. Right click and go back. Are they still grey'd out?

If so, try eko's solution. ;)

It wouldn't be so #### bad if some web devs would actually try and stop gearing toward M$.

Mozilla. Come on release 1.0!!!

Slashy, it's the best MS Product though. It works, and it's uh, works. What does it not do?  Nothing, it goes to sites, it lets you look at them, and then yeah, that's all it needs to do.

Well put... It does work. And why does it work so well? Because so many folks have settled on catering to it. Do I think this is all bad? No... It helps the experince on the net be more enjoyable. Why do I feel it's bad? Because, I hate the fact that M$ has so much control on the apps I have to use to enjoy some really good sites and such. I hate feeling that I often have little choice when wanting to view something in the quality it was intended.

My personal feelings.

LOL

IE rocks because it works. 99.9% are viewed the exact way they are supposed to (cant say that for any other browser) plus it's built into windows making for extra useability and convenience, and I like that.

That is sad Sloth.

And yeah, IE works, you can't argue that. I wish there was competition, but theres not.  Maybe it's a good thing, maybe not, who knows.

Ya neo, you do have a point.  It works.  I guess that really is what matters, but to me IE will always be steping on top of M$ :-)
