Hi everyone!

Hi guys and gals!

I'm a 16 year old living in the UK and complete programming novice who wants to learn how to code games (eventually :P). After being addicted to a massive array of games when I younger, I want to take up the challenge of being able to code and create a few myself, that's my goal. :)

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

Welcome to D.I.C!

I've been in your shoes when I was teaching myself to write code in my teenage years. My best advice is: Work on your goal of doing games one little project at a time. Try out different aspects: AI, graphics, sounds, resource management, networking, etc. Try to do small projects which just focus on one thing at a time instead of trying to combine everything into a giant project.

And most important of all: have fun!
