Hello,
I am a student for CS,and I have an exercise
in one of my courses that none in class succeed to solve.

The topic is computer performance evaluation.
We have two processors A and B with different ISA ( ISA = instruction set architecture).
MIPS_A>MIPS_B (MIPS= Million instructions per second)
CR_A>CR_B (CR= Clock rate)
AND assume they both have the same IC (Instruction count).

The question is : if in this case processor A will always be faster than B? and why?

The formulas we have in our book:
Performance= 1/exe_time.
exe_time=Ic*cpi/CR (CPI= clock cycles per instruction)
MIPS=IC/exe_time*10^6= CR/cpi*10^6
