I drink diet soda until noon to get the right amount of caffinee and such. I've done coffee on and off over the years.
I'm gearing up to go camping some time soon. And I'll probably invite some people at some point. So, I've been thinking about brewing coffee in camp in the mornings. I did a test run last weekend, just to make sure I even remember how, and it turned out pretty good.
So: boil water, grind beans in the hand grinder, measure water temperature until it cools to around 170 degrees farenheit, combine 170 degree water and coffee in a french press, wait about 5 minutes, and drink. Oh, I also warm the mugs with hot water before putting coffee in them.
I considered roasting my own coffee beans, but that would be extreme now wouldn't it.

I'm a big fan of the McDonalds coffee, black with 1 sugar. I started going there because the local one is also next door to my closest starbucks, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper, not to mention the sticker incentive, a free cup every 7th.
For me it's Costa Coffee > McDonalds > Starbucks, I just wish Costa would build a local one near to where I live.

You missed one between McDonalds and Starbucks
McDonalds > the black chewing tobacco spit of a wino hillbilly > Starbucks

Speaking of starbucks...

Do it to it Starbucks! Do what you did to coffee, but for tea!
Quote
You can get a cup of tea at a Starbucks, but you can't get a cup of coffee at the chain's first teahouse, Teavana Fine Teas + Tea Bar that opens on Thursday in Manhattan.
That's how serious Starbucks is about selling lots of fancy tea at the chichi teahouse strategically located on the city's Upper East Side. It's very appropriately near a Lululemon and Dean & DeLuca.
The difference between a Starbucks coffee shop and a Teavana teahouse "is like night and day," says Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, in a phone interview. "It's much more zen-like than anything you'll find in a Starbucks store."
The store, with fashionably-gray walls, light wood and museum-esque lighting, looks very different from Starbucks, and it has no Starbucks branding. The most striking visual feature in the store is the Teavana "Wall of Tea" with a range of loose-leaf teas and tea blends

Ah.. gotcha.. the news article I posted didn't mention they bought out Teavana... but, from that same article, it seems they are going to open a new stores..
....aaaaaaaaand it seems I am behind my tea news because Starbucks bought these cats a while ago... and now this is the new 'revamping'.
Quote
Starbucks hopes to open at least 1,000 more of its own Teavana bars (different than the retail shops currently open in many shopping malls) in North America and many more outside the U.S. Over the next five to 10 years, projects Schultz, "We'll do for tea what we've done for coffee."

I haven't had any soda in 9 months since I found caffeinated water. I prefer Java Monsters for my Coffee like drinks. (hey what can I say, I can drink 4 of them and still fall fast asleep)

I don't always drink coffee, but when I do, it's a triple espresso with three packs of regular sugar in it, preferably from Starbucks. I guess it's ironic that I hate regular coffee but love espresso. I also don't like hot coffee, so I tend to wait until it's warm or room temperature to chug it down.

I drink coffee at my desk when I have to work. drinking it in the shower sounds like a waste of water as you have to focus at times to sip the coffee rather than taking a shower. I find this frustrating that you multi-task in a luxury such as a shower in a very dirty enviroment.
have you tried just putting a scoup of icecream in it? You can also try iced coffee. Which is just ice cubes, coffee, and a ton of cream
