Hello, I write in JAVA 7 on OSX.
There's also JAVA 6 installed from APPLE.
Would going back to 6 help me with Retina support on the MacBook or not.
As a matter of fact I CAN go back as I did not use all the new features of 7.

Well you can't rule it out The vulns would be worse in Windows though - you're right. Is that Sciuriware of EE btw?

Some problems have been found in the browser plugins of some older JAVA
releases. As I deploy the JVM I have noting to do with it.
So, can anybody please answer my question?

I worked 35 years in automation, became EE Genius in 7.5 years,
then I got that ugly Genius T-shirt and decided to stop
and spend my time on something else; for instance on my retirement.
Still I program for myself and I feel totally obsolete in this world.
I struggle to move from XP/7 to OSX ML but ... you've seen one problem already.

Well, had a talk with some APPLE expert (?!?) and he said 6 will be dropped as well.
Best is to stick to 7 and be patient.
