Gratz on the tickets. I refuse to watch that show anymore though. I had a friend try out for it. Before you get on the show, to try out (like at the beginning of each season) you have to go through pre-liminary try-outs. My friend's name is Faren, she is an absolutely amazing singer. She went and tried out and was told that they weren't looking for talent in that state. They were looking for a show. In other words, people who would bring ratings at the beginning because of how they dressed, or how bad they were so the judges could be funny.

I was up late working on proofs for sequences of functions. I have to sit through class until 11, then I'm napping and unwinding tonight.

hahahaha no no, I can appreciate that you might think American Idiot is a play on American Idol, in fact I'm happy that you do.

But I'm talking about this:

I wish the kids who sit at home putting together lyrics videos for YouTube would learn how to control the volume of different parts of the same video (and I wish they'd learn to spell, but that's a whole different rant).

I was listening to a Bo Burnham playlist and all was well... it was quiet enough that no one could hear it outside of my office an I was quite enjoying a good laugh while working.

Then came a lyric video that some kid put together and aside from being rife with spelling errors, it was fine volume wise. The problem arose at the end of the video when the "credits" were rolling and the sound cut to a different Bo Burnham clip. A very, very, obnoxiously loud Bo Burnham clip where he repeatedly screams, "I FUCK WHORES".

He repeated himself three times before I recovered from my terror enough to shut it down... just in time to hear someone in the next office respond with "What the hell was that?"

Bwahahaha.. yeah, shared audio has its hilarious moments. Much like our shared music Fridays and someone decided to go rifling through my folders and started playing a whole mess of early 90's rapd/r&b. Nothing says "oh fuck" when you hear "Let's Talk about Sex" queue up from Salt-n-Pepper for the entire department and know it was out of your folder.

Hahaha I have my headphones in and they popped out right in the middle of Bad Touch (I dropped something, reached down to pick it up and ripped the cord out of the laptop). Suddenly blaring for everyone in the vicinity PLEASE TURN ME ON MY MISTER COFFEE WITH AN AUTOMATIC DRIP

I quickly reached over and pushed the jack back in but there was some laughter around me.

Also had an interesting call with Facebook yesterday...

What'd Facebook have to say?

They're looking for engineers in Boston. Just a "pique your interest" phone call as I'm not trying to change positions for the moment.

You can also recover all previously installed apps in Google Play by going to the settings menu inside google play and then saying all apps and reinstall it.

Android? I can send you the APK :D
Your new goal would then be to beat my highscore of 100 :P
I had a mini blackout when I hit 100 and died immediately haha
