It'll certainly be better than an open hole in the window, that's for sure. But that's the sort of thing that your landlord is responsible for fixing, and quickly.

Finished the regular Try jQuery course with 15750 points. JQuery isn't quite as complex as seemed upon first impression, though the syntax can be a bit confusing.
Guess I'll give The Return Flight a try after lunch

After lunch, I've got some review for the GRE to do. I'm taking it Thursday afternoon. It's a 4.5 hour test, but I've got to get there half an hour early. Fun stuff.

sounds interesting-- though i dont know anyone who has ever taken one of those ---
is that test specific to your degree you have in mind?
i am asking because i know a few people with masters who never had to test to get into the masters course

Yeah, "interesting" is probably the right word to describe the GRE. Their rules and format just struck me as annoying. Also last I took it, scoring perfect on the math only put you in the top 27% of engineers or something like that.

It was certainly a mental work out.. The writing was pretty easy (for me), the verbal was tricky, and the math.. well the math I could tell when I was doing 'too well' by the ramp up of hardness.
Just don't be like the girl who took the test when I did.. she thought her computer/test was broken when it alternated math and verbal.. she thought once she cleared a section that was it for it.. well.. needless to say she missed a few sections because of the thirty minute she spent arguing.. I shudder to think what her score was.

I'm applying for the Master's in Math program at Virginia Tech. The GRE is required. I need to do reviewing. If it's anything like the SAT,
I'll probably do okay but not great. It's required for most of the Master's programs I'd be looking at- math, CS, and Econ. My advisor seems to think I should be fine since my grades are decent enough and the math department knows me. Plus all my recommendations would be coming from within the department.

Mmm.. I would have advocated a few books to pick up (I doubt mine are valid for the current test)..
At least cram a practice test in.

Thanks for the link! Prometric, the testing center, has free online practice tests too. I will definitely weed through them!
