Cannot connect to the internet Linux Mint 16 Cinnanom petra

Posted 03 January 2014 - 03:50 PM

I recently installed a Linux Mint 16 Cinnanom petra in my pc. The modem is found and the registration of the network is successfully. But when trying to connect to the internet I get the message "Disconnected: You are now offline." I am using a broadband modem.

Does Linux Mint 16 Cinnanom comes with new network configuration? When using Mint 13 I had no problem

What should I do?

Please help me

You need the following:
usb-modeswitch from the Linux Mint repos
Huawei Linux Driver from this link:Here
Once you install the driver, the modem should show up in the network manager applet
