Code lens: Does it really help you focus on your code?

Posted 30 January 2014 - 08:49 PM

I find myself turning off VS2013's code lens just because it is too much visual noise, and also cognitively distracting. When I'm looking at or writing code, I want to focus on the code. I don't really need to know at the time how many callers there are.

Am I alone, or does code lens actually help you focus on your code?

I turn it off and on as needed.. though sometimes I am just damn lazy and ignore the visual noise.
