Linux or Windows for J2EE programmer

Posted 09 February 2014 - 08:42 AM

Hello,

The question is not about which system is better
but what are reason or conveniences for programmer who uses Linux, what advantages of using linux has programmer in the job?
I personally don't see any difference and find it quite transparent but maybe I have something omitted.
Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

The very little that I've coded in Java, I have not seen Linux or Windows to be more beneficial one way or there other. The Java language is written in such a way that it's platform independent from a developers perspective.

I think it comes down to which IDE or system overhead you prefer, or which platform that you are coding for.
