How to connect to a different version of SQL Server with C#?

Posted 15 February 2014 - 01:24 AM

Hi

I installed SQL Server 2012 Express in my computer and wrote the following connection string.

string connString = @"server = .\sqlexpress; integrated security = true;";

This connected to my old version of SQL Server, which is 10.10.2531.

What should I do with the code or setting so that I can connect to the new version, which is SQL Server 2012 Express?

I will appreciate your answer.

Torin

What is your new sql's server's name called? If you have two different versions installed then you'll need to specify names.
