Code complete or Clean code

Posted 27 February 2014 - 10:59 AM

Which of these books you would recommend to read? Which of them is more useful? (I know they both are good, but still, we have a discussion in one forum, which book is better)

Re: Code complete or Clean code

I've never read Code Complete, but I saw Clean Code at a book store for half off and couldn't pass it up. It was a little confusing and dry at first but as my understanding grew I went back to read it again and it was great. I guess it really depends on where you are with coding because it's definitely not an intro book.

Another question came up that I figured i'd ask. Why not get both? Technology develops fast but not that fast. I reference specific sections of certain books I have tabbed. Some I haven't even finished.
