Intranet Website Blocking

Post icon  Posted 02 October 2007 - 08:09 AM

We have a web server and I wan't to block those clients that are opening useless site(and eat up the bandwidth)
How will i do it?
Before I reformatted our web server we I had an option to block website, I.P.'s, etc. (as the consultants did it)
I just go to the squid folder, open the..lets say the websites.txt file and just type the desired website/ip to block.

I wan't to do the same. But I don't know how since I'm a noob at this.

btw, we are using a FC5 box.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

I would block that traffic at the firewall level, & not with the squid.

Does it have the same option like squid???
You see I just want to block a certain ip or website. And I don't want to block all the clients/users. I just want a certain pc or website.

Can you help me with the configuration???
