2 lines of code.....2 lines....I spent 3 hours of scraping through 10's of thousands of lines of code to find that the original programmer for an enterprise software put 2 lines of code after a loop instead of before it.

Code reviews. Not super fun. However, I did manage to make a test run 35% faster than it used to, which is nice

I just got an email back from IBM about my application for an internship. They want me for an interview, and they said there's several internships they're looking at me for. I'm so freaking excited. It might put a halt on my house-buying for the time being if I switch jobs, but hey, it's been a good week!

Worked on getting our first day of posts up on our new website for the indie game project I'm working on.
Come check it out.

Jupiter Lighthouse Studio
I also posted it in the Game Dev section here as the blog will be serving as a game dev blog in which I will be covering the code in our project.

I went to look at 4 houses yesterday.
#1: YES! Perfect, well manicured lawns, all new everything, good price, close to where I already live. Unfortunately, there's no garage and the yard is too damn pretty to tear up to put a veggie garden in, which is super important to me.
#2: HELL TO THE NO! This needed so much work it's not even worth it. Plus the yard has shitty drainage (it was raining yesterday) and it seemed like there was water damage in the basement. Also bugs.
#3: DREAM HOME! Sadly it needed a lot of work, so I'm emailing my money guy about a 203k loan. I'd say a good $7k and it would be my dream/forever home. Great neighborhood, great location, garage, basement, big ass yard, etc. However, it was a foreclosure so the bids are due TONIGHT at midnight, and my money guy isn't getting back with me. :x Also beginning evidence of termites, so it'll need treated.
#4: Pretty nice. Up there on the price range, but it's right by the Easton Mall (big ass swanky mall in the nice part of town) and in a cul-de-sac location. No garage, but there's a big ass yard. Old people live there, so there's a lot of cosmetic work to be done on the inside lol. (wallpaper, blech)

Finishing up the last week of my internship. Summer has flown by. So probably debugging most of the week to make sure the game, as it currently stands, could be released if we wanted to.

Back from a deliciously delectable vacation with the hipster and the not-so-wee-ones. Had a hotel suite with multiple rooms, so the mancat and I didn't have to sleep in the same room as the loud, whiny t(w)eenagers. We had a ridiculously comfortable king sized bed... it was great except that I kept losing the him in the sprawling sea of mattress. I need to get me one of those.
My brother (who lives 15 minutes from our hotel) invited us over for dinner and swimming one night. Watched my 21-year-old nephew decide the best way to enter the pool was riding a tiny tricycle off the diving board. Their evil cat trapped me in the bathroom for 20 minutes with her hissing and growling and attempts to remove my face (I was later informed that she only does this when someone is alone in the house...if there are witnesses, she pretends to be sweet and friendly).
We also went to the zoo where we saw pooping goats and watched tortoises mate. Hooray for fetish porn day!
And the James Taylor concert was fantastic. He is a very funny man and remains a very talented musician.
The next big adventure: Cosplay for Pyrates' Return weekend at PA Ren Faire! Working on costumes already...

I suppose one views tortoise fetish porn on Internet Exploder, since one must like it nice and slow.
