Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - work.
Thursday - "Employee Appreciation Day" (ie, slack off for 8 hours, eat free food, go home early).... then on to a Devil Makes Three concert.
From there, it's a four day weekend. *le sigh*

that's not fair bort
Yeah, I know, but that's my life at present. I'd actually prefer a 5-day working week, and 3-day weekend. Part time hours are a double endged sword. On one side, 3-day working week... Awesome. On the other, reduced pay packet... Not so awesome.
And not being the most confident person in the world, it's difficult to get another job.

... and then you have to put it back. And you lose the interest you would have gained on it.

Right. It's not a move I would recommend to everyone. For me, 2 years of 401k at an entry level job was massive for me being a 23 year old trying to finish off his school debt, but I'm hoping by the time I retire a difference of $3k isn't going to be making or breaking me.

Typically you'll be hit with taxes for doing that.. assuming your 401k submissions were pretaxed.

It's usually just better to... not have put it into the 401k, if you plan on using it now. It's not even a good idea to withdraw it for loans unless you have an insane (30%?) interest rate.

Good point! Next time I should just predict any acute financial hardships two years in advance and not put anything into my 401k.

A bit late, but first day of work was today. Planned some stuff out, made a flowchart (hell yeah, first flowchart) and got the web version of my game hosted on UGA servers.
