Creating a grid in html5 games

Posted 08 June 2014 - 11:43 PM

I am creating a game sort of like candy crush that uses that grid like system but I'm stumped! I have a idea that you could use a object to store the candy data but I have no Idea how to do this in HTML5 and I'm stuck! Any tutorials? Or a detailed description would help!
Please help me!

A comprehensive overview of Javascript object.
MDN Working with Objects

I strongly urge you to avoid the many game frameworks that are available, especial ones that demand money. They are slow and do not provide anything of any worth. You can spend as much time learning how to use the framework as it will take to write your own. There is plenty of free licences libraries that you can chop and choose from that provide excellent high performance code on GitHub. HTML5 is really the best framework, why add abstraction that is not needed.
