Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine

I already installed this but i still get the error

I'm using windows 7 and office 2010

I assume your application's target platform is currently 'Any CPU' or 'x64. Try changing it to x86.

Looks like you are missing the installed dll files. Download them from the net and add the reference to them in your application properties. That should fix it.

First link on Google might contain what you need. Also this for your Connection String

Well then I guess you could always switch databases as an option, and use something like SQL Compact or SQL Express. May I ask are you trying to access a database on a network or is the database on your PC? You're not very explanatory in your replies. Does that mean, you also added the references to your project to, if so can you explain how you did it and what files you referenced?

This error is almost always caused by running 64-bit version of Office. If you can't get it to work, you could uninstall Office and re-install the 32-bit version.

I didn't know that Charles, but will keep it in mind next time its asked. Just to add something further after researching this.
