Having a problem with footer on a website I work on...

Posted 26 June 2014 - 12:10 PM

Attached ImageHello everyone. I am new, and actually came here because I have reached my capacity for ways to fix this problem. The site is accesspointri.org
I inherited this site among others, and am relatively new at coding. on my screen, which is a mac, the footer on the bottom of the site is not the end of the page.....it keeps going if my window is big enough......i attached an image so that you can see. i have already tried messing around with the css, asking my friend for advice who work on websites and he helped me clean a few things (but the problem still exists), and also trying one other forum before this, where basically a coder gave me a site to go to which did not even apply to my problem....he gave me a site for mobile apps.....this is a problem i am having with my desktop....
i work in communications technology. so i do photo, video, web, graphics, sound. web is actually my least savvy skill. i have little to no experience, and i have exhausted all resources. now i am trying to find someone on a forum community who might have any kind of suggestion/answer. any takers? thank you.accesspoint

that is the css attachment.

the div information for the footer is here:
<div id="bottom">
    <div class="bottomcopy" align="center">&copy;2014 AccessPoint RI &bull; 111 Comstock Parkway, PO Box 20130, Cranston, RI 02920 &bull; Phone: 1-401-941-1112 &bull; Fax: 1-401-941-2516 &bull; <a class="footerlink" href="mailto:[email protected]">Contact</a></div>
  </div>
</div>

...i don't know really, but i feel that this is not a div or css problem...i could be wrong. the site is accesspointri.org
i use firefox and firebug/code inspector...you can see every page from there.
i just do not know where the problem originates.

than you.

Is your view screwed up? It looks fine on all the browsers unless I zoom out. (control and - or +). Putting it back to normal( control and 0 or &) shows it as fine.

hello modi123_1,
i was really hoping you would be right...simple solution.....
but i just set mine back to 0 (on mac, command 0)....and there is the footer, floating around like a jack***.......
just to confirm, i went to a large computer in the building which is a pc dell......ctrl 0'd it over there....still floating.
this seems to happen only on large screens.
only.
making the problem really hard to fix.
i literally cannot figure this out.

any other suggestions?

As it is a great site for sticky footers it might be useful to others if you posted a link to it.
