Hold up, when you brought the server down, was that code reviewed?

Yes, it was an issue of someone else making changes to the same DLL and telling me to not include the DLL in my rollout, that his would do it. It ended up that his did not roll out so only half my change went out.

So it actually boiled down to poor dependancy validation on the reviewer.

Dragon hit me with fire at the last second. I get 80% done and realized I need to make a couple major changes to the code.

For the next several hours, derpicorn and I are BFFs.

Then 4:00 hits and derpicorn can go to hell because it's Franday!

:w00t:

Tomorrow, my handsome hipster and I will be donning our geekiest apparel, loading up the kids, and heading to Pittsburgh for Steel City Con.

Today is all about tickets. My production roll out went smooth last night. The entire process took from 8pm -12:30am, but during that time I got no failures which is nice.

Tonight there is a bowling thing for work so I'll be bowling until the wee hours of the night, then up early tomorrow to take the kids to Gymnastics.

Two of the three modules that make UNICORN function are 100% complete. Now to finish up the last couple details on the third... I'm more than a little terrified that the light I see is really just a freight train waiting to smash my ass on the tracks.

I have to come up with a new algorthim to sort images. Now, it needs to be sorted by type a, type b, so I might as well prepare for type c too. It's on a multidimensional array, so I can't or don't know an easier way to go

About 2 years ago I launched a program that I built entirely from the ground up, into production, in a financial institution, supporting 45 major clients. I waited and waited and waited for that train to hit me. It never did, not for that.

I think you'll be alright :)

It probably isn't a train. If anything, it would be a horde of stupid people known as your coworkers. It sounds like you've got an excellent product though!
