Well, I think a 30 year old and a 20 year old is just as creepy as a 30 year old and an 11 year old, but only one is considered a child. The other day I referred to when I was a kid and realized I was old enough to drink in the story I was telling.
What I perceive as a child is different from what you perceive is a child, and is different from what society in general holds to.
That said, biology only looks to see who's ready to mate. So while I may find a 30 year old and an 11 year old creepy, I don't think it qualifies as a disability. I'm not talking about what is acceptable or not, I'm talking about not labeling every act of human fuckery as a mental illness.

Wait.. I thought we were talking about age of consent and not age of majority.

I brought up age of majority, not age of consent. Someone else brought up age of consent. I'm simply pointing out the point at which society thinks you're an adult is kind of arbitrary.

I have to disagree. A 20-year-old is fully mature and aware of exactly what she's doing, an 11-year-old is not. It takes more than tits and tampons to be physically and mentally mature enough for sexual interaction.

because I could be 18, with a 17 year old girlfriend, which means we could be boning by consent, but if I had pictures of her she's still a minor and me an adult. So what matters in the context of pornography is not consent but majority.
I mean, consent matters TOO, obviously, but...you know what I mean

Are you pushing the old "if there's grass on the field let's play" theory?
As for 'boning vs pictures' - different laws champ... but then again it seems you are mixing and matching age of consent vs majority.

I fully agree with the 17yo/18yo couple thing. I think classifying it as statutory rape is bullshit. But there's a BIG difference between a 17yo and an 18yo and an 11yo and an 18yo.

You think that. That's cool. I think a 20 year old is still a child. I know this makes me an ageist asshole, and I'm ok with that. Cool that you're not.
But societies all over the planet for thousands of years disagree with you and think that people we both think are children make capable adults.

I think you're being intentionally obtuse at this point.
Both of ya.

Not really. You indicate thirty year old boning a twenty year old is gross, but the same kind of gross as a thirty year old boning an eleven year old, and grass/tits/tampons have been a solid indicator of when one is an adult or is prepared for the potential ramifications of consent. That the social mores from a time of 300bc should some how affect current trends because some old man like Alexander did some shit at 18 when the median life span was what, 40 years old?
Come on pal.. come on.

So you're just incapable of contextual discussion, then. Got it. Should I include a full quote history of how far back every conversational thread goes so you don't get lost?

What are you jabbering about? I won't apologizing for keeping a quarter of my attention on this topic while you make vague concerned hand gestures at the current times defined age of consent and majority.
