I can't wait to try gaming off of it.

I'm handmaking a portion of my victim's gift, and one of the parts I ordered for it was screwed up so I have a replacement order in :( I rushed it so hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow.

SSD really is living up to its promise. I recently bought a laptop with one and I have a server with one, and they're just incredible. My next gaming rig will have one, though I don't expect to have to build one for another year or so.

I have heard that Intel (I believe) believes they have had a breakthrough on SSD technology and will be able to get a 10TB SSD here at some point. That's what I am waiting for, then I'll get 2 (once the price is reasonable) and set them up as a RAID10 in my current machine.

d0000000000000d! Just get an array of 512gb sd cards. For the space of an SSD drive you can totes have like twenty copies of the internet stored locally.

Those are extremely expensive though. $800 for 1/2 TB? I am hoping that the intel one will be somewhere around $1k for 10TB.

I've received Black Hat Python: Python Programming for Hackers and Pentesters! Right on time after finishing my last finals too :)/>/>. About to crack this book open and start fiddling with it.

Edit: My last finals was on Computer Network Software/Security so pairs well with finishing up the course (fingers crossed).

How's everyone else doing with their Secret Satan gift? Anyone snag something new? Maybe still in transit?

I think mine has arrived - there was a package I wasn't expecting at my door when I drunkenly stumbled home at 12:30 AM. I'll take a closer look after work today :)

Received the below item from my wishlist. Thank you to whomever had my name. The name on the packing slip doesn't ring a bell so I am not sure who it is, LOL.

So it looks like these DID arrive Tuesday but my MH aunt hid the boxes to surprise me with them yesterday. Eesh!

At any rate, thank you KYA! I don't know if I ever posted here that I have a collection of action figures, but no Buffy! That's awesome as hell, I love it. I JSUT moved so they're all boxed up right now but I'll get a pic posted once I get them out and hung. In the mean time!

Totally made my day yet again. I'd have gotten this up last night but I was really, really busy with ... stuff.

The replacement part for my target's gift was just checked in at the local post office so it should deliver today, hopefully.

This year my satan sent me a pretty cool Adafruit kit - this one is some trippy goggles that I can probably use to freak out people who are on acid!

Good thing I already have a soldering iron :)

Thanks, satan!
