Made me damn sure I'm never buying one. I'm not very mechanically inclined, but the price on everything from replacing break lights to changing the oil was over an hour $150 and he had to take it to a mechanic who had all the tools to get at his car. Most places didn't have them. Utterly ridiculous.

modi most new chrysler's have the batteries located behind the passenger or driver tire-- so you have to remove the tire to get to it

The battery is held on the (been a while ) I want to say drivers side front fender well. You have to remove the fender, replace the battery, the realign the fender. Outside of dealerships most places wouldn't touch them,
(I used to be a mechanic too.)

I'm rolling in a Chevy equinox. The battery is right at the front next to the driver headlight assembly, but the computer it's ontop of it. Apparently if you don't remove it just right, you can trip the automatic lockout which will make the car unable to start.

I'm working from home now because the dealership took till nearly noon to get everything done.
@modi thanks for the heads up. There is a scanner I've been eyes from there that I wouldn't might picking up for cheap.
