I was on the road by Canaveral watching it, as close as you can get to a launch as a spectator. I had chickenpox and was out of school when Challenger went.
And I have to say this just for fun, I remember when MTV had one station and still played music videos!
And I love the song 1985 for the memories it brings back.

You weren't even ALIVE in the 80s, whippersnapper!
Y'all are all just a bunch of whippersnappers. You're are making me feel ancient in comparison.

After being ill yesterday, and sleeping, I've now return to work, with my energy being sapped, trying to figure out how these cowboys built a blasted WordPress site!
Seriously - there is no logic!

Took some meds for my back last night, they are effecting me so much I am staying home today.
On the plus side, a client wants a customer application and I get to build it the right way as opposed to rushed. I have a "watch how we work" session tomorrow to determine their actual needs.
@alapee stay focused. My issue was never the physical hook, it was the routines and habits. I've been smoking for 20 + years so I know the plight. I wish you luck!

Awesome you're quitting! It's a pain in the ass. It gets easier after tomorrow. Unless you do like me and count the day you quit as Day 0 instead of Day 1 (I haven't smoked since July 14). It's the habits that really make it hard.

In my defense I was alive for ALL of the 80s. And part of the 70s.
Like I said you're all a bunch of young whippersnappers. I still remember where I was and what I was doing an a fateful day in November in some long ago time in Camelot.

So remember my database woes? Apparently I'm not crazy, or entirely as stupid as I thought.
Turns out the latest database upgrade sorted the scripts in alphabetical order rather than the order they're supposed to run, and then ran them all. So...things are borked, but just...slightly so. But it prevents me from recreating an issue because the table is completely busted.
Since Monday.
We're still waiting for our glorious DBA to release a fixed db I can restore from. Nothin yet. I've got 3 defects to work on, all requiring this fixed DB. It's getting silly.
