Posted 07 April 2006 - 10:34 PM

Description: apply these steps to your iFrames to override IE's default of a white background.
all numbers can be changed, this is just an exampleHave your site's iFrames displayed the same in all browsers.
when constructing your iframe:
<iframe width="70%" height="500px" name="about" src="webpage.html" frameborder=0 ALLOWTRANSPARENCY="true"></iframe>
<!--by allowing transparency we inform IE that this frame 'might be transparent' -->

in the body of the page to be displayed (webpage.html):
<body STYLE="background-color:transparent">
<!--we have now informed IE to display the transparency -->

Note that some versions of Netscape have Transparency as default
as do ALL versions of Firefox.[/code]
