How to make a Python script standalone executable file

Posted 08 January 2015 - 03:02 PM

Hello Everyone
I'm building a Python application and don't want to force my clients to install Python and modules. I also want to make my application closed-source.

So, is there a way to compile Python scripts to standalone executables?

Yes there is. Search "compile Python scripts to standalone executables" or similar. Did you try this? For example,

http://www.py2exe.org/

That's weird, and pointless considering that link also has answers ;)

It was pointless then, copying and pasting the question, when your question is (slightly) different.

Nevertheless, a search of "python create executable for linux" suggests that pyinstaller is appropriate. Did you find this when you searched?

A moment's further searching suggests that you need to create a bootloader for Pi.

I installed Pyinstaller and used on Ubuntu but it is not creating executable file but alonge with that it crate almost 1000 of files as well.
Is that possible that I am able to create one exectuble file without any dependencies.
