since a tangent line IS the derivative why do you need the first part? you don't. either way if you know what a tangent line is the joke still makes sense.

No, wrong. The derivative is an equation for the slope of the line tangent to the curve at any given point, not the equation for the tangent line itself. Also, if you just ask "Can I lie tangent to your curves?" it's completely out of context and you cum across as a perv.
Besides, "Can I be your integral so I can fill your curves?" is better anyway.
