Problem with internet sharing

Posted 16 February 2015 - 09:07 PM

I have setup a adhoc network on my windows 8 computer and I've setup my computer to use internet sharing from my wireless connection with the adhoc. I set this up primarily so that my raspberry pi can connect to the adhoc so that I can connect to it through ssh (because I won't have the monitor that I'm using right now for much longer). Ssh works just fine, and my pi can ping ip addresses. The problem is when I try to install packages: it can lookup and find packages but when it tries to download them it gives the error about the mirror being unreachable. I know there is nothing wrong with the mirror, because when I change my network profile to point to the router, everything works fine.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0
